Benefits of Drinking Warm Lemon Water


Until I researched this subject for my juice fast, I had no idea lemon water was so beneficial. Eureka! I found something to keep in my repertoire for life. Alright, on with the facts.

Hot water improves your blood circulation, digestive system, nervous system and mental status. And lemons are rich in vitamins B and C, riboflavin, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, proteins and carbohydrates. When these two items are mixed together the benefits to your body are incredible.

  1. Boosts your Immune System
    Lemons are high in vitamin C, which is great for fighting colds.  They’re high in potassium, which stimulates brain and nerve function. Potassium also helps control blood pressure.
  2. Weight Loss
    Lemon water speeds up the weight loss process. In fact, drinking hot lemon water before breakfast allows you to burn calories and remove unwanted chemicals in your body. This is because the closer the water is to your body temperature, the easier it is to absorb. Lemons are also high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings.
  3. Complexion
    Lemons are natural antiseptics and can help cure skin problems. The Vitamin C in lemons rejuvenates the skin. Drinking hot lemon water daily can remove wrinkles and blackheads, fade scars and reduce burning sensations to your skin.

    Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials relieving many digestive problems, including nausea, heartburn and parasites. Odd Lemon Tips

  1. Lemon juice sprinkled over fresh fruit such as sliced apples, prevents discoloration.
  2. The lemon water removes coffee and tea stains. Drink from coffee cup.
  3. Grind the used lemon rinds in your garbage disposal as a deodorizer.
  4. 4 tablespoons of lemon juice mixed with half a gallon of water makes an effective window cleaner.
  5. An equal amount of lemon juice and water added to a spray bottle is an effective kitchen and bathroom cleaner and can also be used on walls (spot test first).
